Faithful Word Baptist Church

For those interested... this is the church website of the Faithful Word Baptist Church. As you can tell from the picture, pastor Stephen Anderson is NOT preaching to a wall, but to an actual congregation of people. Go figure.

You can also subscribe to the podcast, and videos are available on the site (I predict the Central postcast subscriptions will plummet due to all of you switching churches.)

Sorry, the picture wouldn't upload. You will have to search the site yourself to find it.

This should be my last post about Mr. Anderson. I'm sure there are more wonderful preachers I will post on in the future with just as interesting theology... but I'm done with this guy.

"Pastor Anderson holds no college degree but has well over 100 chapters of the Bible committed to memory, including almost half of the New Testament."

very nice. i'm not sure what i would want less in a pastor. lack of college education (which i do happen to think is extremely important) or indoctrination from an extremely conservative seminary. but, kudos to the dude for memorizing so much scripture.

i'll be looking forward to reading future posting on pastors with such sound doctrine and training.

I was going to comment on that statement... gald you did first.

Shouldn't someone who has that much scripture memorized know more about the bible?

And just because you have a lot of scripture memorized... it IS a bit strange to post it on your website. Yes?

okay, I'm not done...

I just LOVE that picture of him on the homepage.

ha! i almost commented on the pic, too. i was thinking of saying something like, "he doesn't look like he plays with a full deck" or "he's got this empty stare thing going on." but, i thought that would be way too mean to post.

oh, wait...
hee.

come on now, paul. you don't need to study the bible. i mean, it's all right there in front of you. as plain as the nose on your face, right?

give. me. a. break.
