My wife is teaching some session at a conference and I am alone... well... me and my daughter (and dog). It used to be that I hated to be alone... and still do in many ways... but maybe age and maturity had allowed me to have perspective. The problem is that I can never sleep well when I'm not with my wife. So I suspect that I'm going to be tired the next several days.
So I have no idea why I wrote this post.

I was considering making inappropriate comments about substitute sleeping aids, but then I thought better of it. If you need an extra boost in the middle of the day, there's always Donkey. And who knows, you might even run into a friend there (or arrange to meet them).
I love it when my wife is away.{for reasonably short periods of time} I get the whole freaking bed to myself! Yes! We've been squishing onto a double sized bed for 6 years. Good thing we're both small.
