Sex for Christians

What does it mean for us to be sexual beings and yet pure? How does a single person (who is created as a sexual being) express their sexuality and still honor God? What boundaries do you all use to determine what is lust and what is not? I know this is a touchy subject (no pun intended) but I have a friend who is a pastor who is wrestling with these issues and wants some feedback.

Is it just me or does the whole purity thing get harder after making the transition from a dating relationship where you think you might have a future with that person - so in essense you have a "verbal contract" ..to an engagement where the contract is now at a handshake? I have never struggled so much as I do now. I wish someone had told me after getting engaged that it would be a whole heck of a lot harder to keep the purity and that there would have to be many measures taken to keep everything in check. I wish I would have known sooner - but the wait will be worth it in the end!
