Just in case

I don't want to distract from my previous post, but I wouldn't want my blog friends to miss the end times. This is a link to the site of the guy I mentioned this morning; the guy I have been in a email conversation with who claims to be one of the two witnesses mentioned in Revelation. So I'm sure you will want to stop what you are doing and do exactly what he says.

Ok I went to the link and read what the guy says. Interesting....
He seems a bit cocky, but has some intereisting things to say. Although, I am still trying to figure out where he believes the rapture will fall (pre, mid or post). Actually, I guess he would have to believe it's post trib since according to him we are already half way through it, and are now on the downward slide. So he's going to go to Jer. and be there for the blowing of the first trumpet. Interesting....And Jesus will be back in the fall of 2011. Then why does he have "preaching" lined up till 2013? Once Jesus is back won't He not need preachers anymore? (Incidently, other civilizations believe the end of the world is in 2012 too.)

My self I don't know when it will all end. I know what I think, but am probably way off. Frankly, I'm not that concerned about it. I have too many things on my own calender to worry about. God is perfectly capable of keeping His own calender in order.

It is absolutely amazing how many predictions there have been for the end of the world. From different religions, civilizations, etc. And when they pass... everyone forgets. I think this stuff is a waste of energy... as there is nothing we can do about it other than what we should be doing anyway.

Ah, yes, the Mayan calendar, ending on December 21, 2012. Most people believe that this is when the world is going to end, according to the Mayan people, and some still think it's going to happen. However, this is not the end of the world to end all ends of the world. It's merely the end of the 12th world and the start of the 13th. They have a cycle of 144,000 days, called the Baktun, that defines this length. It's just a repetition, sort of like a really, really, REALLY long year. So all these people who think the Mayans predicted the end of the world to fall in 2012 just haven't done all their ancient culture research. Why they chose to stop writing their calendar at the end of the 12th Baktun? Who knows. Maybe it's because the scribe's hand was getting sore from carving all those dates, and they were living back in the 8th and 9th Baktuns, anyway.

I know such random things.
