Depends. The Chinese 1) are not Christian nor western as a nation and therefore don't have the same concerns 2) this is their big opportunity to enter the western social world with a bang, and possibly generate more business as a result 3) they are a country who preserves 'face', to have done poorly would have caused national shame and probably a good number of suicides.
So, again, it depends.
And I wonder if that figure includes the pricetag for the CGI and the lip syncher??
Thanks for all of that advice. I forget all of those things on a regular basis. My favorite thing to do to brainstorm is looking at other people's work. Ness has a million design books, so that always helps. I always forget to disengage. I have literally been working on this poster all day, and only took a break to eat dinner. Tomorrow will definitely be different, so thanks!
Also, I do not think that the money spent on the opening ceremony was well spent. I see no reason to spend so much on sports. Maybe I am un-american, but I do not even really care about the Olympics. I would rather not see athletes on steroids wearing speedos, but that is just me. So does that mean 300 million was spent for one night? Or does that also include the building of the facilities and whatnot?
