It's easier not to have any expectations than to have them and be let down constantly. That is the problem with having a vision for life... the vision so often doesn't match reality.

Lol, I used to be an obsessive planner. I'd have my budget excelled and color coded years in advance, I'd have my 1 year, 5 year, 10 year plans documented and referenced them frequently. And get this - it NEVER worked!!! I didn't stop trying for a while, but eventually (with Olivia) come the realization that usually, life has a mind of its own and even though we are responsible for making the best choices possible, we're unable to see the future, to expect the unexpected, or to create a divine plan that can't be altered. So, I share your feelings and understand where you're coming from. :-)
